anti ricer movie petition.
Hey guys It's been a while but I've got a lil info for the members of HS. A guy from one of the of boards i frequent saw the following to items on the news in ontario last night so it prompted this online petition please read and sign.
http://www.petitiononline.com/2F2F/petition.html was watching the news and they had a story about how now every police officer in Ontario and accross the Country will now be pulling over every modified Import and Domestic car that matches the profile provided. They also said that the profile was made from a pre screening of the 2F2F and starting Friday all of us will be pulled over for inspection without warning or just cause to check for illegal modifications. If you pass you will be given a ticket to show other officers that pull you over that you have already passed inspections. So this will be the largest pain in the ass ever. The goal is to crack down on stolen parts and illegal engine and NOS setups. I dont really feel like being pulled over 3 times a day just because Im a Import Lover. I bet I wouldnt be pulled over in my Golf or 240 because they look stock. Man what a ghey plan. I think that they should be busting street racers and not people who are just driving with a modified car. GHEY GHEY GHEY! I want to see how many old school Mustangs and Camaros they will be pulling over. I bet none. Oh I just saw a preview for another story on CTV News here in Ontario and they called it The Fast and The Foolish Ontario's Crackdown. They said that the police force is being upped 25% and $250,000 is being put into catching racers on the roads and busting illegal modifications. IM PISSED! You know that there are going to be some cop who wont want to agknowledge (sp?) the rules and will ticket for non violations, like me the other day who got a ticket for going 2kmph over the limit downhill. Its just going to get a hell of alot worse than better. |

what next? they gonna stop people on the street and give them a ticket bacause they look like they drive a modded car..
why dont they pull over rednecks in there huge trucks for being illegal when they dont have a bumper that sits at the legal height? or howabout all those muscle cars with drag slicks and nitrous? |

A petition isn't going to stop Hollywood. As long as people are going out to buy the movie tickets, film-makers are going to continue making the movies. Organizing a boycott might be a better solution but it would never work.
