This is a prime example, as in this country (or this part of the world) there are lots of pale white european originated males (yes and females), that really like the dark skinned, and in this case, Asian women. I haven't ever thought of things that way but it could be true, there are lots of strange biological driving forces behind many seemingly simple things....

But then most white guys I know aren't into Asian women at all......explain that one.
