Well...low and behold there was a car show at the local McD's. A ton of nice cars...an old Stingray, a Chevelle LS6, even a Lotus Esprit (how the hell do you get a Lotus in Kansas?). But there was a kid there...prolly 17 or so with a late 90's Civic (sorry...I don't know my Civics) who came over and we shot the shit for a while...pretty cool kid. Then he asks if I want to race. I just asked "ummm...are you sure?". He proceeds to tell me he's got a built shortblock, T-66 turbo, AIC, and the whole nine yards (this is in addition to his wicked chicken wire grill inserts). But I figure ya never know...a ton of kids around here have parents who'll buy them anything. So he asks what I'm running and my reply was "oh...just a 331" *insert snicker here*. I figured we'd just do a run what you brung kinda thing so nobody opened their hood. Well...to make a long story short this kid did NOT have a T-66...probably not even a built motor. I took off around 3/4 throttle and left him like he was in reverse. I even gave him a chance to catch up after about 5 car lengths and he was struggling. He actually did have a turbo...but my guess is that it was more like a T-03 size. It was too high pitched to be a T-66. But I gotta say he was cool as hell. He even laughed about it when we met up afterwards. Moral: don't bullshit in a run what you brung race unless you like being ***** slapped.

Lieing about what you have under your hood is just plain stupid.
