ricey in my opinion is anything that detracts from the aesthetics of a car (stickers, stupid spoilers, cheap body kits, etc) or any "performance" part that doesnt actually add performance (cheap exhaust, APC parts, cheap shift knobs etc)...

Ricey i think is doing something cause its "cool" and not because its what you like........and you know you are rice when someone calls you ricey and you take offence to it....i could care less what people think about my car.....oh and i own a visor....i've had it for about 5 years...its adidas and covered in metal spikes.....
i have an APC shift knob...thank you...but only reason i bought it is cause i wasnt gonna spend $60 on a knob that i was gonna just have powder coated anyway......and i also have the window washer light things but they have never been hooked up.....i like the chrome look....and i also plan on putting neons in the grille of my car that arent underbody neons......... |

most body kits.... huge rims... tail lights... anything "custom" done by yourself is usualy "ricey"... um... if you ever think taking the cheap way out looks good... chances are it dosnt. bad camber, aftermarket wings(i have seen VERY few that arnt.. and none come to mind that actualy look good). i think clear corners and stuff like that is ricey too(yes i do have clear corners
 ) i dunno.... i think alot of the mods people think look good look like complete ass

no clear corners are not
clear corners just get rid of that ugly yellow/amber legal nonsense, they make the car look much better and if they are cheap its cool, but cheaply made like the ones i got suckered into are not good

I agree with most of that stuff Chris, but a tastefully added clear-corner can look nice. I have seen many cars with amber turn signals, especially on colors like red and blue, that when given a clear corner look incredible due to the contrast whereas the orange draws attention to gah dont have time to explain damn nietzsche paper... anyways u get the idea... maybe not, I dont even understand what Im talking about any more...

the word ricey is not racist, neither is the word nigger
it is all about the meaning implied ricey, in car terms, means what I stated several posts up the word nigger actually means dirty and has nothing to do with black people except for the unfortunate connotation placed upon it by some southern assholes that make the rest of us southerners look like bad people...
