is it the gear ratios? the boost? ride height? acceleration?

ps: i just beat a 898hp r-34 with my 514 hp rx-7...thank god for the corners.

i also bought the 500+ hp (stock) corvette. it's up to 600+ hp now. whooooo!

mostly the gear ratios affect takeoff, that and the game is just weirdly designed whether it be dreamcast or ps2 form

they made corvettes in that game?? dont you mean viper?
