I would go with the alpin because i touch screens the oil from your fingers over time can destroy the screen. One of my friends bought a used clarion unit and after about 6 month the screen was distorting were you touch the screen. They may say they have a coating on them but it will come off after time. The alpine reciever will also have a lot better picture. If you want to go allout you should take a look at Eclipse, it might be a little out of your price range but save up and get an in dash unit from them and you will be amaxed at the features and the picture is by far the best on the market.
