If you get the 3" exhaust you will have to replace the cat more then likely or build a custom flange because the outlet of the cat is probably 2.25" or 2.5" not 3" like the exhaust. Then depending on how big the downpipe is you might have to go with a 3" cat or custom Flange. Depending on the emission's laws in the uk i would just take the cat out and just put in a pipe that would allow you run open exhaust but then you can put a cap on it when you don't want it open.
