Well stick will out last you, but the honda autos run for a long time too.

If you're goign to be gettting a small 1.6L engine you might aswell get all the power out of it as you can and go for the stick,ya get better milage too.

If you're looking for great milage might aswell just stay with the civic's and forget the ludes or accords. Bigger motor means more gas and right now I'm getting about 12mpg on my Acura 3.5RL. Then again I'm driving like theres no tomorrow all the timte.
