every number you add up and subtract from its self is going to leave you with a multiple of 9. look at 9 18, 27, 36, 45 54, 63, 72 etc etc they all have the same symbol pick any 2 digit number, add the 2 numbers together and subtract it from the origional. you will get a multipul of 9
