well on mine i tapped int the wires of one of the lights that iluminate the odometer. it's behind the cluster, and had wires running to the top of the cluster for bulbs that illuminate the gauges. since i had to disable those bulbs i used that wire. i don't remember if the gauges were polarity dependent or not.

Why did u have to disable the bulbs in the cluster?

I saw the exact things u saw, is this where I want to tap my red wires into?
