i took the emblems off the back of my 02 civic.
The civic emblem and the dx badge came off cleanly. They were being held on by adhesive. I used Goo Gone to remove the little bit of adhesive that was left behind. The H Emblem i just pulled off and then opened my trunk and pushed the two little white things that were holding it in through. Then i used more Goo Gone on the lil strip of adhesive that was also holding it on. Removing the H emblem will leave two lil holes but you said you had new emblems so they should cover them up. Hope this helps.
