what player
i downloaded a movie but it wont play on windows media player, so im wondering what plays .avi files?

you need to download the divx 3, divx 4 codecs.
Get the newer and older version and install them. For some you need real plyaer as well.

You can get a program that tells you the 4CC code and then you can get the right codec.

If the codecs that you downloaded come with a player, you dont have to use that player.
You could just use windows media player. Get the latest one tough (WMP).
