When I got my GSR it had the annoying Razo shift knob on it. It has no grip, it is just like a metal tube like design. Anyway, I personally like the factory knob (plus the Razo is chrome

) and I bought it today. Well now what I thought was as simple as unscrewing the Razo isnt. It wont turn at all. I have used all my strength. Anyway, Does ANYONE know how to take this damn thing off? I also cant install my Teg Type R shift boot until this thing comes off... |

I tried taking the screws off an it nothing. It seems the point of the screws is the change the carbon fiber piece. ARG I hate this thing. I want it off!

And as for the e-brake...Dude, I have to saw it off? How did it get there in the first place. The shift knob matches the ebrake. |

Sounds like someone used loctite (industrial strength air tight glue). Getting loctite off is a ***** if so. I'm pretty sure you could use a mobile electric saw thing to cut it off and not damage the stick itself if its really that bad.

I got it off! Success! I put all my stength into and and twisted it because I knew it was a screw on. Turns out that someone screwed it on and also wrapped electric tape under where the shift knob screws on to the arm. It had been there for a LONG time because the adhesive off of the tape was practically like glue. Anyway, the viens in my arms are all popping out. I am going to go drink a beer, a frosty beer...

BTW, I got my OEM shift knob and Type R shift boot on...SAWEET! Anyone want to buy this stupid Razo knob from me? 20 bucks shipped! The thing cost like 75 online. Beware though, I didnt like this knob. |

It is in great condition. No damage to it what so ever. There are a few tiny dings on the top but you woudnt notice it unless you look at it close up.
