you'll find that while chiltons is useful for a few things, it is grossly incomplete and inaccurate. Buy a Helms manual.

they are dead on when it comes to old domestic cars, but i was showed the torquing procedure they have listed for a passport and compared it to the real procedure and then to the "updated" torquing procedure(this is for the cylinder heads)...their instructions were WAY off from what Isuzu wants done. just be careful, when it comes to cylinder heads or big jobs, ask for help

i used a chiltons to remove the valve cover on my wifes cavalier, the stupid thing was telling me all kinda crap to remove. so i start looking around and I got it off with out removing any of it.

I really like it when they say to remove something and they dont tell you where it is. |

I practically have a library of Helms manuals out in my garage. There are least 5 of them out there for the cars we own or have owned. Each one has definately paid itself off by now

Chilton's is ok for the small jobs. But it can't even touch the detail of a Helm's Manual.

Mitchell on Demand is pretty good. I have a Chilton for the Sol. It helped when we were doing the clutch a while back. Haynes are horrible I hear.
