check this out

Hey im going to be getting a STOCK honda intake mannafold Only "because i still am underwarrenty but i want my engine to look nice and the stock one i have now doesn't look nice" they are chargeing me 160$ plus 20 for a gaskit I just got my new AEM cold air intake today so before i put that on i want the new mannafold and my new Apexi N1 Exhaust what do u think ?

you are paying that much for a new manifold just because yours is dirty? theres a thing called degreaser.....like $5 a bottle, seems like it makes much more sense.

No its not dirty , it has a crap load of white stuff on it ive tried to get rid of it but it won't come off and blowteggy sorry i forgot this was school.

Simple Green and a dish scrubbing brush. The kind with the white bristles. Works wonders.

That $160 could go towards something else.

And people think I'm anal because I clean my engine bay as much as my car........

that's alot to pay for a stock Intake Mani..I mean I have found port and polished intaked mani's for less then that..

You might just want to do a good cleaning on it or somehting as opposed to dumping that kinda $ out...degreaser,scrub bruch and a little elbow grease should do it wonders..

If nothign else clean it good and paint it...Hope this might help...

degreaser, a scotchbrite sponge with the green thingy on back and some lite grit sandpaper will clean that thing. then you can polish all nice and shiny afterwards. geez $160 for a stock mani..damn dealrships and their overpriced goods.
