Whats the difference between a B engine and D?

slowEJ6 10-17-2002 02:37 PM

one is a B series, one is a D series.
there are MULTIPLE B series engines, and multiple D series engines.
B16A, B18C, B18B, B17A, B20B, B20Z, etc.....
D16Y, D15B, D16Z, and so on and so forth.

Aren't the B series out of japan? or isn't there some major difference that makes it a b series?

slowEJ6 10-17-2002 05:21 PM

no....some are jdm, some arent.
B series are DOHC motors.
D series are SOHC motors except there was a DOHC d motor.
B series have more power than D series, more torque, etc etc...
