what gauge cluster will fit?
i have a 94 ex that i broke when installing the indglo gauges. my question is what other gauge cluster will fit in here? i found some 97 gauge cluster and they look the same up front but will the hook up in the back, thanks!

92-95 ONLY
thats what i thought :( isn't any year SI will fit also?
the 92-95 si should fit, maybe some wire mods that need to be done....
does the current one you have have a tach? |
yea its an ex manual. everything works except the gas needle wich i broke...
ouch, i think you can buy the needles for less the it'd cost to replacethe unit through like ebay. if you broke the actual needle, that should be cheap. if it's the unit with the gas and temp, probably about 75$, the whole used unit is about 150$.
well i pulled the needles out instead of just sliding the gauge over it. so the lone meatl rod broke off inside the gas gauge... motor thing
You're going ot have to replace that unit peice of the cluster, you can get that from the honda dealership, be ready to pay.
bah, ill go to a junkyard and tear that pice out of any gauge cluster i can find
good luck, while you're there, if you find a good condition cluster with tach for an 88+, e-mail me, i'll buy it if the price is right
get a new gauge cluster.....$150? i dunno where you shop at, but maybe you should find a new place to purchase your parts.
you can probably pick up a 92-95 gauge cluster for $60 @ a junkyard. |
That's cause you found it at a junkyard... in LA all the junk yards were tapped out, DRY, had to buy one on ebay. It was a rough number anyways.
(hybrid) BTW... I really like your car, sw33t!!
no junk yard around here has one eihter...
you can use a 96-00 civic cluster or a 94-01 integra cluster.....just takes some trimming here and there and making custom brackets for it to bolt up - and some rewiring. its a hassle, but it can be done.
