damn!!!!!!
I was replacing my gagues on my civic with new white ones and when i was pulling the little needle off the gas gauge i broke the little bar that holds it!! What the hell should i do???
I'd check the junkyard for a new gauge.
what he said. ^^^
should i get a whole new gauge or just that little thing that drives the the gas gauge? also what if i can't fine a 92-95 civic ex manual???
I'd get the whole gauge if you broke the part I'm thining about.
If you can't find it, check www.recycler.com www.partstrader.com www.haprecycling.com (I think) There are many more online recycling things too. |
you can use one out of an Si as well, or an LX.....
also look on www.ebay.com |
sigh... no one around here has any.... im gonna look through those links later tonight, thanks guys... The gauges i bought are revers indaglow should i just lay them over the top of the old ones? the instruction i got sucked
yes you should, but you broke the needle right? no needle is NOT OK!
well see i took the olds ones out and put the new ones in..thats how i broke the dam needle!!! then i figured out your not supposed to do that..
you are supposed to take the screws out of the gauges and then place the new gauges over the stock ones. Put the screws back in, and make sure there are no light leaks. You should have been able to do this without removing your gauges. That's too bad that they broke, mine was a piece of cake to install. Hope you find other replacements.
Do not even touch or move the needles during the install. If they do get bumped, put them back exactly how you found them.
well its too late for that. i yanked them out now my speedomitor is off im pretty sure my tach is off ang i completly broke my fuel gaguge...sigh...
If your whole cluster is messed up, check Ebay or the other sites that were given to you. Clusters pop up now and then.
yeah you dont need to remove the old gauges, just lay the new ones over it and put the screws on top. Don't remove the needles, though its too late. Check ebay. I always see gauge clusters there, cheap too.
go get a new cluster for sure..I did the same thing over 2yrs ago and you learn from your mistakes and not finding out How To before hand.
you could also try www.aaforeign.com as that's where I got mine from to replace my broken one. good luck on the fix and remember needles don't come off...   |
