Spoiler Installation
I'm about to install my spoiler and in the instructions it said to put some adhesive between the metal and the spoiler with the 3m double-sided tape. I threw the instructions away and I forgot the name of the adhesive I’m supposed to use. Please let me know what it’s called and if I can take the spoiler off after using that adhesive. .
Thanx;( |
3M Probably.
Yeah, 3M is the brand.
so it would be some 3m adhesive but i dunno what the adhesive is called or would it just be the thicker 3m tape that came with the spoiler.
Tape is adhesive, so maybe so....
Aren't you Stefan's bro? He could probably help you out... |
yeah but he doesn't know what the adhesive is called otherwise he would of probably replied like he always does
you have that adhesive tape. didn't you stick it to the spoiler and made the custom holes for it ? that's the one you were supposed to have there. and yes you can take the spoiler off.
tsk tsk tsk shouldent have thrown the instructions away
no shit hondamaniac i know but a96710 told me that there was supposed to be some adhesive that comes separate which seals the wholes for rust and leeks in the trunk.
sorry bout the spelling *holes, leaks
you can use a single sided foam sticker to stop leaks and then use screws to secure it and the to go that extra step, put silicone sealant on the inside of the trunk where the holes were drilled (this can be done under the spoiler too, if you want to do that)
that is what i actually did but somebody told me that i was supposed to use some adhesive and it said the same in the instructions but now i remember it said something to prevent leaks if i don't use the single sided foam. So i should be fine. Thanks though:|
