97 del sol front bumper removal

...how the hell does this thing come off? My friend came over the other day with his del sol 97 dohc vtec and I couldnt get it off. I got the 2 under the front and 2 on top...where else is it connected besides the fender wells that I cant see anything in?

Under the hood there should be a couple and also you might have to take the headlights out also...

yeah I got the 2 under the hood...at least I think got 'em. It was a black piece that connected the bumper to the front, I removed the 2 bolts that held the plastic connector to the front and left the plastic connected to the bumper....that doesnt make a lot of sense, I know but I dont have a picture of it to show you what I mean. I guess I'll have to go to several bookstores and just look in a manual, Im not spending my money for his car not to mention a bad book:o

nope, cant get the headlights out with the bumper on, we tried that when he got the clear corners (but they came off easier). the headlights are attached so something that the fenders cover

Noooooo, I took the headlights off of my buddies 93 a week or so ago to install some hoodpins. Took me like 2 minutes to get the headlights out. Just take off the corner lens and then the bolts holding on the headlights. Some of the bracketry needs to be loosened/taken out also. I just fiddled with em and got em out.

Looks just the same on my 95.
