°PICS° of my car..
15.527 @ 146.88 km/h (or 91.27 mph) , with stereo, 17's & accessories..
-Short ram air intake (I aint taking any chances, though I am thinking of a easy switch setup), with extra piping for better feed. - Minor Ignition enhancements - Irridium plugs - Better wires - Advanced timing (not very much though, caus I could still use 87 octane with no knocking.) - OEM exhaust manif with slight grind and polish (this one gave me some beef, as in low end) - 2 1/4 in piping to the back - high flow cat (the rest of exhaust is oem) - Some chip.. Power Chip or was it Jet ECU ??? (piggy back... was around 900 $ CAD) OEM clutch, I'm thinking of changing... It has happened a couple of times that my clutch didnt have the necessary compression to grip. Didnt shave the head or anything crazy like that. All sitting on 215/45/17 Michelin Pilot's. I used 93 octane for my runs. Even though I have no more rev limitter or anything like that, I was shifting at around 6.5k My car isnt the fastest runner on the block. Especially not off the line. Gearing kinda sucks. But I still love my Accord very much. It's my PimpMobile.. My top speed on the other hand is quiet good. Throttle response is good even at 200 + km/h.. Till now the fastest I've been was 250 km/h rpm @ 5600-5700 in 5th gear (duh?!). Wish my speedometer went up to that . . Cant always have a friend following me on her bike.. Here are the pics.. She's hiding behind the bushes.. JP

JP, I love your car... with a drop you'll really be pimpin' Are you thinking about dropping it soon? As for the clutch, it would be nice to change it. I'm still breaking in my ACT, but I can tell that it is 10x better than stock, though still really smooth.

I wanted to lower it this spring, but I dont know if it'll happen.. My parents are having a house built, and I kinda want to help them out.. So we'll have to see.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote:
One of my friends has a 2000 black lude with whites rims.. So I kinda knew a ahead how it'll look. PS, when we roll together, it looks awesome.. Lude + Accord, with similar aesthetics.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote:
The house is for sale!! You can buy it if you want.. When I type JP at the bottom of my posts, it is my name, I aint typing just/playing... My name is Jean-Paul, which is John Paul but in french. I aint french though, I'm Sri Lankan, a country under an enlish regime. My parents gave me a french name cause they knew we were coming to Canada (Quebec). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote:
I'm still waiting for the pictures!! Really.. Getting access to a track is a pain in the buttocks, we could run on the roads in industrial projects.. No traffic after 6pm.

Stock brakes.. Only the fluid is slightly performance oriented.. I dont get that much dust on them. During daily driving, I'm a very gentle person. I really take it easy on my baby. I wash the car once a week, preferably before events.. It stays relatively clean.

Well, you saw what I've done to my car. That top spead was reached around the same time I did my 1/4 mile time. I think I was running an additional 2° advanced timing. Probably on 94 octane. Thats it. Shifted at 5k all along and ran like the wind. A stock 97 2.2 CL does 220. How was biker not able to reach that? Unless his governor kicked in. His RL is a 97 right? If I recall well, in 97, Honda wasnt putting any governors in yet.. A stock 1988 1.8l Jetta does 210 without too much effort. they produce 100hp..

Yeah, 155 is freaking fast. I don't think I've heard of an Accord hitting very much over 140 before. Must have been a great feeling!

well... my idiot friend that got his speedo messed up deserved a big phat ticket one day... glad i wasnt with him. he used to have a 91 accord with i/e dropped about 4 inches on 17"rubber he took it up to 135.
my boss one day was in a hurry and he was on the highway and he punched it and next thing he knew he was doing 140. he has a beautiful beast of a c4 corvette with about 20,000 under the hood. he said he punched it at 140 and the car lurched forward even at 140 mph!!! that thing must have 450 hp. |

WTF, 150.. Damn, I hadent realized that.. humm, that seems kinda fast & dangerous....
Nope not a track. It was on a 3 lane cement highway. I'm not sure how long of a distance it was.. I kept 4th until around 180kmh, then move on to 5th.. So getting up to 230 is quiet fast, I mean its not like you just sit their and wait while nothing is happening. After which, I feel then engine is still accelerating, but you dont feel a kick anything.

His car isn't the only thing that would be toast at that speed. Its cool to know you can go that fast though... I'll never try it in this car, especially riding on stockers.

Tomorow afternoon I'm gonna have 2 runs with G-tech type of tool..
I'll have precise reading with that.. I just called Liz, the girl who was following me on her bike, and she said 250. So I wasnt dreaming.. But tomorow I'll know for sure. I dont want to have any doubts.. I gotta know for sure.

The g-tech thingy??
My friend/mechanic has one. I'm not sure, but I think its pretty expensive.. He got it, cause he does the work for most of our tuner friends (around 18 competition tuners, and 3 so so like myself)..
