Thank you for the help everyone

I'd like to thank pdig for the advice he gave me, I also would like to thank everyone else for helping me out. The shock problem went away, it wasnt it by the way because the mechanic did something else and the creeking went away. I would also thank pdig for telling me to change the b-pipe, was it? on the muffler. I sold my axel back muffler and bought a greddy evo-2 cat-back. I just got it installed for 15$ and WOW! there was a hell-of-a difference between Megan and Greddy. I love this greddy cat-back. The sound quality is 10x louder with a nice tone. I just red lined my car around 6k rpm not redline, and the the exhaust sounds so nice with the vtec kicking in. I feel the gains, but maybe I did feel some gains because the a/c was off. 99% of the times I keep the a/c on because its so hot down here in the valley. Anyways thanks alot to everyone to helped me out, please continue to do so, because everything I read and see good news about, I end up liking it too. Ill post a pic now on the exhaust section. I was going to do so before but, didnt want to show my crappy megan racing exhaust. Just a tip for all you out there. DONT BUY MEGAN, it sucks like sh1t because it will definately melt your bumper.

Youre welcome

A catback system is ALWAYS better than an axleback

Louder isnt necessarily better

Find out exactly what the shop did to fix your car

DONT BUY MEGAN...crappy megan racing
Megan Racing makes some good parts...it wouldnt have melted the bumper if it was hung lower w/ longer rubber hangers or the metal ones were bent (I know you tried the latter)

Is English not your first language or do you just not pre-read what you write? Just asking

Megan muffler sucks, the sound isnt noticable. When people think of mufflers, they are usually noticed by the sound. And the megan racing muffler didnt melt my bumper, but it almost did. I had to pay money to get the megan racing muffler re-welded. The mechanic fixed the problem for me, however I did not ask what he did because he did it for free. I can go back and ask, but I'll do that when I'm near his shop because I dont want to drive miles and miles to ask him what he did. If you think Megan is good, why dont you have a megan muffler like I did? Ill upload a pic for you guys, trust me on this now that you will not like how the megan muffler looks like. The sounds on the muffler is definately a plus for me because thats what I look for in mufflers. Maybe not for others, but for me sounds are first (sorry to say). English is my first language, but this aint english class so I dont have to write like a poet. The next thing I think I'm going to do is put an aem cold air intake. Then after that I dont know, I was thinking of nos, but I also want to lower my car, which will lead to more money then the nos kit because I'll have to buy the shocks, camber kit, springs etc. Can anyone help me on what to buy first? the nitrous express stage 1 wet kit, or should I go with lowering the car; springs, camber kit, shocks?

i would lower your car first. nos should be one of the last things you do to your car,IMO.

(Its a real pain in the ass to respond posts that are hard to read. You dart all over the place when you write...very frustrating Could you try spacing your posts out, like paragraphs? That'd help a lot)

I dont have a megan racing muffler because I didnt want one...I wanted full stainless steal thermal - so I got one.

If you choose to lower your car, to do it right, it will cost close to $1000 (The good parts thing).
If theres anywhere where you shouldnt chince out, its on suspension

hey the greddy muffler is tilting on to the right. you cant tell from far but if you go close and look under, the muffler is on the right more.
You can tell because its not fitting the curve. I talked to the mechanic and he told me that if I let him melt the hangars and add new ones then he could align it better, my question is, is there any way around this? rather than melting the hangars that is

how the hell do i bend the hangars. besides theres no problem with top to bottom. Its side to side. the muffler is more on the right side then in the middle. I can push it to the middle but then the rubber that holds the hangars go back to its place...

so bend the metal
you can use pliers, your hands, tap it w/ a hammer, or bite it really hard w/ your teeth

Ok, I went back to the shop. The guy bent it by melting the hangars first and then hammering it. It made no difference. The guy said he would welder on new hangars but I said no. So he couldnt do anything.
I dont have a place to work on my car when its under the car. I can only work with whats on top, because I live up in the hills so my car is always parked on a hill. I'd just rather go to the shop because the guy knows me. I even got the cat-back installed for 20$. Should I just tell the guy to reweld it? Ithink the bottom of my bumper is burning.
BTW.... he torched the sides of the hangar, not the top end of the hangar where the hooks are.

I doubt your bumper is burning

new exhausts always have a 'break-in' period when they smell funny.
Give it about a week or so and it should go away.
It'll go away sooner if you drive a lot.

You may have just not noticed it before w/ the megan piece because it was only axle-back. Youve got a lot more piping now to make the smell.
Dont worry about it.

If youre really paranoid you can check the bumper after every drive to look for melting...but its probably ok

In my opinion, I dont think the greedy cat-back exhaust was worth $500. I regret paying that much, shouldve just stuck with the megan racing but oh wells, cant return it now.

This is the only pics I have on the net right now. The car right now is alot lower than in that pic, and now I have a new powdercoated valvecover, and a MSD digital 6 installed.

I am waiting on my turbo parts... Yup thats right I am going turbo. I was going to go NA with nitrous but unfortunately nitrous is 10 dollars a pound here. So I said hell with it. I'll give boost a shot. Here is what I have ordered so far....

Precision SC 44 .63 AR
Lovefab Mini Me tubular manifold
Tial 38 MM wastegate
Turboxs RFL BOV
custom oil line kit
RC 550 CC injectors
P28 ECU with Hondata S200B

things yet to do...

get Spearco vertical flowing intercooler
-custom make carbon fiber intercooler piping. (yes thats right. I am going to give it a shot. I got some resources available, and I can do some prefab work, so we will see how this goes.)

more to come....

Then I will get pics!!!!

hey pdiggitydog, the bottom of the bumper is burning. Im just glad it aint anymore because it already burned it right threw. No the muffler has black melted bumper rubber on it. Its ok though it only melted a little of it. The other time I smelled it but couldnt see it cuz it was night time. The melted rubber on the top of the muffler wont damage it right? I dont really care about the burn because it was only a little bit and you cant tell because it is under the car.

no, its a nice distance, but just on to the right side more, therefore its hitting the right side of the muffler curve.

OK.... OK..... I did it myself, which took me about 2 hours to bend it. I bent it with a hammer and now its better. The burn wasnt that much so no complaining.

Im happy with my greddy muffler, it was well worth the 500, the thing is I used my credit card which is going to add up everytime, and now for some reason my megan racing muffler wont sell. I paid around 120 on ebay, now it's going for 50.... do you know why no one is bidding? is it cuz it's a little bit dirty? if so can I clean the muffler outlet with a lightly wet towel.

(THANK YOU! I can read that)

Well just pay it off as soon as you can...I pay my card in full any time I make a large purchase; so I never have interest.

No clue why no one is bidding...cant always sell something the first time it goes up.
