Add 10hp in 20 mins for $10.00

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=10432

I'm sure you've all seen these ads. I've pretty much read everyone out there and even bought once. I got jipped, the guy took my money and bailed. I was like WTF. I'm looking at this ad above and can't figure out what he could possibley be selling that would add 10hp to a turbo'd volvo....

Anyone know what he's up to?

Well, lemme get this straight.. some guy came up with some never before thought up technique to getting more horsepower from a coconut, a rock, and four toothpicks, and you are wondering if this is a scam? My bet is that it is.. Why the hell would this guy sell an idea for $5 when he could patent it and sell it somehow?

If this guy was for real, there are only 2 things that I can think off that he can do in 20 minutes to gain extra HP:

1) Well, since it's turboed, I think the timing will be tampered with. But in my opinion, it should be retarded.
2) The dude talked about not "over-boosting" but I think he could be referring to the Joe P manual boost control. This is the ball bearing and spring method of controlling the sensing line of the internal wastegate.....

But like Shaggin said, this was a scam!

the only interesting thing is most of the reviews are positive. And there are lots of them so I don't think he could have faked so much without getting caught.

LOL, knowing the Ducky way of doing things, for $10, I would just tell them to take a flat-head screw driver and remove their airbox.. Free-flowing air good for 10hp to the flywheel!

It is probobly some sort of manual boost controller... but not meant to control the boost meant to increase the time it takes for the wastegate to open...

it would allow the turbo to spool faster but not over boost.

that'd be an easy 10hp no prob. (10hp down low not peak). It would make the car drive better... and probobly wouldn't do any harm...

Most of them are scams though... that or just simple info that you prob. already know or could find out with a little learning.
