i need to know how to install a aftermarket "e" brake handle.does it just slip over the old one or do i cut it off???

What I (and others from what I heard) had to do to get the E brake handle on is cut the old one off. If you had a dremel (sp??) tool they work fine. Cut it in half from front to back and then wiggle it a bit and seperate it where you cut it in half and VIOLA. it should slip off. That's what I did...and then just slip the other one on and tighten the 2 screws on the bottom of the new e brake handle with an allen key that should have been provided when you bought the handle and away you go....vroom vroom.

P.S. You have the exact same car as me...so it should work.
