Well some small power gains ya can do are...
*Cold air intake (that will give ya like 5 or more horse) *Header with downpipe and exhaust system 9there is about 15-20 horsepower) *Throttle Body *intake manifold Then if u want big horsepower gains then u can do *Cams *Rods *bigger pistons

oh so you dont want to use NOS huh? what about ZEX or NX express, etc. You mean you dont want to use NITROUS. NOS is a brand name! sorry, just one of my pet peeves.
of course, the decal solution gives you tons of P-HP (psychological- horsepower) but, everything possible has already been mentioned, but the most important thing that nobody ever mentioned is getting at least back to factory specs. The biggest mistake I see in a lot of cars is people that will buy a car and go and buy tons of expensive aftermarket stuff, and then a week later their car is on the side of the highway, dead because the 12 year old ignition failed. I'm saying, give your new car a once over, and fix anything that is old or questionable. Unless you have detailed service records, I'd say do this first: - check oil - check coolant - check ac - check power steering (if its not cherry red, have it flushed) - inspect all belts/replace - check spark plugs - check cap/rotor/wires - inspect hoses (especially coolant hoses, they corrode from the inside out, so just replace now) - check trans fluid (probably needs a change, everyone forgets that one) - check your cv boots. I'm willing to bet at least one of them is in bad shape - valve adjustment - new brake pads/rotors - check your tire tread (tires are expensive, replace those if need be before going and buying your shiny new exhaust) you get the idea. Basically, if I could go and do it all over again, I would've had everything inspected an replaced. Mostly so I can know where I stand when it comes to maintenace. I can say, yes I had a valve adjustment within the last 60k. the way I see it. You can do it now, and have peace of mind in knowing your car is sound, or you can risk the safety of your car, yourself and others and have to pay for a towing bill to wherever. |

it would be a major gain maybe 30 for the GS-R head and 50 for the Type-R head plus it will greatly improve your top end and u get VTEC!!!! HURRAY!! this would be called LS/VTEC this is wut i plan to do when i get my Teggy ALSO a WHOLE LOT easier than a full engine swap There are TONS of online How-To's on LS/VTEC setup less expensive too... hav fun decided and let us know wut u do |

spoon is a tuning company in japan
as for ls-vtec, it's a tight ass setup but get ready for a maintenance nightmare. i have never done the swap personally but my best friends brother had it done on his civic, it pulls hella hard but it's in the shop once a week. if i get a chance to talk to him I'll let you know what the problems are so that you can keep a look out.

hmm
You could get direct port nitrous..injection..a NOS Fogger System.. and a stand alone fuel management system... (but that runs about 10,000 dollars, I HAVE MY SOURCES... rar) Oh.. and enough NOS to blow yourself up... period.. And you can always overnight parts from ja-pan

b18c goes for around $5k with a 11.3:1 cr I wouldn't buy it unless you are building a car strictly for auto-x, jgtc, or any of the american grand touring circuits. mirkwood? how is it that you can give someone advice when you don't even know what it is that you are referring to? if you want a boost in power and know of a very reputable shop nearby, get the gsr head put on, if you want to spend upwards of $4k do the gsr swap, or build your own motor that you have right now and either build an all motor monster or begin the setup for turbo.

i thought he said he didnt want to do turbo or nitrous, and what i was thinking by turbo would be forced induction, so what i got out of that was he wanted more of a naturally aspirated engine setup
