sounds

about everyone 3 times or so (haven't actually kept track), whenever I start up my engine there is this "whirr" sound that is emitted , and sometimes it even does this sound while I am driving. I haven't had an problem with driving, maybe someone out there may know exactly what this may be

The engine, if I'm not mistaken. Under the hood..it happens randomly so I can't really open it up and listen from where exactly it comes

Check your belts and pulley's. Often when pulleys get out of balance they'll begin to make a whirring noise kind of like a supercharger.

what kind of "whirr"? like a squeeling, or a vacuum sucking, etc? It could be many things, maybe as simple as your radiator fan kicking on.

the other day my alternator belt squeeled a little. The changing weather i think affected it, so you may want to check that as well.
