I went too fast and now i think im screwed
Ok when I first got my Civic I was all into making the accent color Yellow (the car is black). So I grabbed some krylon paint and clear coat (I was a cheap ass, I know...Im so ashamed now that its done ) and painted the A-Pillars and the front speaker covers. Unfortunately I cant stand the yellow and really want to get rid of it (and eventually change entire car color and scheme). Problem is I cant think of anyway to get the paint off without ruining the panels. If I drop them in paint thinner the plastic will just melt away (right?). I cant scrape it off cause then they'll look like shit.
If anyone has some secret method to paint removal please help me!!! The stock light grey A-pillars and dark speaker covers are 10000 times better than the yellow. |

Solution
Use "Xerox toner remove" (or something linke that).
U can't buy it in stores, but you could try and call xerox about it. It will remove the paint, but NOT ruin or melt the plastic. We have it at our company, and I once used it after i made the same mistake like you did I'll give you the product number tomorrow, k? Greetings from the Netherlands, Sinner CRX /edit Sorry Mod's, I hit the wrong button Please be so kind and place this post into this thread... Thanx in advance. |

It's called " Xerox Transport Line Cleaner" Partnumber: 603P-1048 I once painted those veltilation thingy's (how do you call them?), in a color that didn't turn out good. I used this stuff on it, and the paint came off, leaving the plastic untouched and as new! |

I also painted part of my interior and screwed up on some parts. So I used this stuff called "Oops" and it took it right off. It's made mainly for use on latex paint so I'm not sure if it'll work for you if you didn't use latex.
