Dakota vs GT Stang
Well Sunday night I went to a Hoobastank concert in orlando.
well on my way home a newer GT (yes I seen GT and two pipes out the back) keeped passing me and letting off passing me then letting off, so I punched it took off then i seen him get a big smile on his face. So we lined up at around 55mph - 60mph, and he jumped me and took off, I punched it and tried to hold him and I did hold him till around 110mph or so (trucks suck at higher speeds) ok I gave him a thumbs up. So we lined up again around 50mph and I tried to hit it about the same time but seemed to had jumped him by about 1/4 to 1/2 car length and he never could catch me tell about 110mh-115mph all and all I was very happy with that runs with no juice. So then I was messing around with them and is seend him drink somthing. I was like what is that then i see a huge bottle of vodka and he takes another jug and then throws it out the window, I said for get this I aint racing 2 drunk guys so I just took off. I would like to know why would you drink and drive AND RACE are they stupid. Geezzz |

Im guessing you were in the dakota instead of the car in your little box thingie on the left... question, what type of dakota do you have, cause I was in my friends v8 chevy tahoe, and he beat a magnum v6 dakota from a standstill (our lane ended)... nice job keeping up with a GT on the interstate!

I got a 93 dakota reg cab shortbed 3.9 V6
I got a 3''exhaust no cat ported and polished intake and a K&N I am doing a 2"front and 4" back drop. It will help topend speed and high speed mpg and also putting heavy duty springs in back so I can tow my Race car (dont have one yet but still looking) and I got a little 100shot of juice on it but hardly ever use it( just alittle bit of juice ) And bye the way the 96 honda civic that I say i have in my info I dont have anymore cause I totaled it. It was raining and I was goofing around and hit a tree. he he |

thats funny because i test drove a dakota with the V6 magnum 5sp and a little civic wasted me....i jsut tucked tale and drove back to the dealer... But i bet your exhaust and K&N helped.
Talk to Dingo about dropping your truck he will tell you how it is....COP MAGNET And his incident with the little furry animal in the road.....

not to be a mustang troll but there are alot of dual exhaust sixes around... YOU CANT TELL THE MODEL by the EXHAUST you have to tell BY THE CUTOUTS in the back of the bumper, or the badging.... i drove a 3.9 5-spd my shop teacher had and it have decent passing power but i think it wouldn't even be a decent matchup for a "DRUNKEN" 6 cylinder w/ exhaust.... I DONT WANT to be a mustang troll, but when i drove that truck i got on it HARDCORE and i think my jeep woulda taken it and my jeep runs toe to toe with my mom's 6 stanger 2001.. BUT GOOD TRY THOUGH, AND YES YOU HAVE TO BE REALLY DUMB TO DRIVE AND RACE DRUNK

WITHOUT SPRAY.... HOLLY SHIT! that must be a hella truck then.... from a Stock 0-60 of 10.3 and 1/4 mile of 17.2@79 to go to 14.0@99 territory with exhaust!... its much more accurrate if you look at teh v-6 stang and its 0-60 in 8.4 AUTOMATIC and 1/4 mile in 16.3@84 1/4 mile and EXHAUST FOR EXHAUST its about the same as the above comparo anyway

That was a v6 stang with exhaust dude......How does a truck beat a new stang GT? FROM A ROLL? The truck has aerdynamics of a brick, and they can't win if they were aerodynamic. Ram trucks are slow dude. I have a 98 Ram and an 89 ramcharger in the family, and have had other dodges in the past. You ran a v6 with exhaust, and even then, you still couldn't have won. Why do people post such things LOL. He could have been chilling in 5th with a GT and pulled you.......The only chance you have is if he was drunk, and was not really going for it.

I just want to meet the guy that sucessfuly pulled off the Viper
V10 in the regular cab dakota. Had a reg. cab 2.5L 4 cylinder and found a wrecked '96 GTS and pulled what he could. He also did Viper's rear end and 6-speed tranny swap. Rumor has it that its been sent to Hennessey and twinned!!! |

Yea figures no one believes me on here LOL normal.
Just say my friends that races me are very surprised. I would like to hook up with someone on here and show you that my poor little truck is very surprising for what it is. It was a GT stang. I seen GT on the back and I also have raced other GT Stangs from a start and have stayed pretty close. and my truck has lots of punch tell around 100+ then its a dog but its bad tell then I take civic ex with intake, exhaust, chip whats so hard about that they slow as hell. |

ummm you would have trouble taking out a 1990 LX 4 cylinder mustang with a dodge dakota. why would you even post this? it is clear that the guy in the mustang was either not racing because you're in a stupid truck and it would be a waste of his time/gas or it was a 6 cylinder w/ dual exhaust with a horrible driver cuz even a v6 mustang would beat you.

im not saying i dont believe you, im just saying your not telling the truth if all you had is exhaust on a LOW TO MID 17 second truck to beat a LOW 14 second car, basically meaning that the OTHER CAR CAN GIVE YOU A 0-30 launch and still beat you at the end of the 1/4 mile... THERE MUSTA BEEN SPRAY, if there WASNT THEN YOU MUST RUN WITH VIPERS RIGHT? even with a 100 shot a 160hp truck with exhaust intake and 100 shot is like 270flywheel hp pulling a raceweight of like 3900lbs so its still like high 14's it just doesnt add up

Well I realy dont know never ran it. But I stay right beside my buddy that ran a 13.98 so not to sure. He has a 94 toyota pickup lifted 7 inches on 33 swampers and has got a 350 bored .40 over bla bla bla bla done to it and a supercharger.
Now that thing is bad. He pulls a wheelstand off the line. BTW I am boosting my spray to 150 shot untell I get my realy hp getter. (A supercharger) |

what is so slow about a 14.2? an LS1 only runs in the low 13s and the 2003 gt can run a 13.8 of the lot. Remember, it is not how fast you run, its weather your dad can beat up my dad. and I doubt it

A stock Mustang GT is not that fast. Who ever said they run a 14 flat is out their minds. Those are high 14 to low 15 second cars.

my auto runs a 14.5 with just an exhaust mod, not new exhaust, just a modification to the stock exhaust. and that is the "claimed" slow 98 gt

Your right, I was mistaken stock 99 and up GT's do run low 14's, stock 94-98 GT's run high 14's to low 15's. So yes a stock 99 and up GT is pretty quick. And stock 98 and under GT's are not that quick. |

Whats up with Ford and their Mustangs. If a stock 99 and up GT has 260hp and runs low 14's, than whats up with the 305hp Mach 1 only running a 14 flat, and the mid 90's 320hp Cobra's only running 14 flat. Now I hear that the 03 SVT Cobra's have engine problems.

mach 1 has done 13.4 and hit highj 12's on drag radials STOCK. dont go by what magazines say... PLEASE. 96-98 cobra's have hit 13.7 stock with 305 hp. 99 & 01 hit 13.5 with 320hp. and the 03 is brand new still so it will have some problems... its mainly an over heating prob. ford fixes it tho. that car is still real good. |
