Raced my friends '93 mustang GT
so yeah we got around to racing, there's this 4lane road by where I live that has almost no traffic and its in an industrial type area so its a perfect place to drive fast for a little bit.
so from a stop I do the three honks(i don't think his horn works) and first through second gear we're pretty much even then somewhere in third he begins to pull ahead and by about 110mph he's about 2-2.5car lengths ahead and we decide to slow down to normal speeds. from a roll it was pretty much the same thing, we sit even til eventually after 65mph or so his car begins to pull and he gets a couple lengths and its time to slow down again. I felt good about how the 4banger performed his setup: stock w/ an intake 5-speed mine: stock base prelude 5-speed next I want to hit the 1/4mile track since it'll be a pretty close race at such a short distance, relatively speaking. By "intake", do you mean a cold air intake or an actual intake manifold like a Cobra/GT40/BBK/Edelbrock/Holley/whatever?
Wait...nevermind...either way both are pretty useless without heads and a cam. Nice to hear you at least kept up with him for a while. Tell your friend he needs some 3.73 gears.

by intake i just mean a different tube w/ a better filter. he's already got the v8 rwd advantage, jeez! besides he's been busy spending money on getting it to finally run right, he hasn't had time for such luxuries as performance mods(it came w/ the intake).
i've had it for awhile now, i put a thread in the offtopic area about it. |

i think i'll be leaving it pretty much stock for now, nice and reliable.
I think he thought he'd just leave me in the dust and was kinda dissappointed he didn't. |
