short one with 2002sentra se-r spec v

Well... as the title says, I got into a short race with a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V... and well, we raced to 80, and all I can do is scratch my head... weren't these things supposed to be fast? I beat him by about 2, maybe 3 clear car lengths at 80, and was still creeping ahead... and yes, he did gun it at the light as did I, but he was automatic I believe (Im an automatic too)...

spec-v's only come with a 6-speed manual.
an automatic ser is rated at 165 to the crank, so take away power loss all the way through you get about 120hp to the wheels. How do you know it was an ser at that? If you know what you're looking for on the cars it is easy to tell the difference. Or maybe it was a modded gxe or xe and they put the emblems on, many people are doing that now as well as buying the spec-v bumpers and suspension.

btw...they did accomplish their intent, the car is fast.

I know it was an SE-R, because it had the rims/tires, body kit, and badging, and it was all authentic, not an aftermarket job... and the reason I said it was a spec-v was because the guy said it was... maybe he is just a crappy driver

it's funny how people will say they have a car that they don't. Did you happen to see the interior seats? They would have to have been red and black stitched for a 2002, or the same pattern just different colors for 2003.

good kill then, hope you have the same luck if you see me

Didnt pay any attention to the interior, as it was night and he had tinted windows (rolled down one to talk to me)... and if I do come across you, you better launch high and hold it there
