For the moment AMD Duron 800 @ around 1100.. As some of you know I was supposed to upgrade this past summer, but I decided to wait since the 64bit arch is coming out soon.

Damn- why you guys need that kind of power? Yall do video editing, or the extra two seconds you save when opening winamp that important to you?
Im running: Athlon 1ghz 384mb RAM 32mb Radeon DDR 30gb HD + 120gb external HD works like a charm for music, videos, internet

MSI KT3 Ultra XP1800+ @ 2000+ (retail heatsink/fan) Abit GF4 MX440 64mb Crucial PC2100 512mb maxtor 40gb hdd PC i just built for myself: Shuttle AN35N Ultra XP2500+ Barton 333 Crucial PC2700 512mb eVGA GFfx 5200 Ultra 128mb put the 40gb hdd in Aspire SuperAlien blue case (6 blue led fans, temp lcd, 2 fan controller) w/ 500w psu (2 blue led fans and fan controller) Super-Flower Fan Master 4 fan controller AOpen 52x24x52 cd-rw AOpen 16x dvd-rom Thermaltake Silent Boost heatsink w/ fan i coulda spent more and upgraded to 20" monitor and gone with the asus a7n8x deluxe or epox 8rda3+ but.....id rather spend my money on other things that are more important.......like new clothes. gaining 60lbs in 6 months has diminished my wardrobe entirely......from 6 pairs of pants to 1, from 15 shirts to 6 and i need clothes for snowboarding! |

^^^ How do you like that 2500+? I just got one recently and so far its humming along @ 204 x 11.5 @ 1.8V. Not too bad, but it seems like people are having mixed results.

well i just ordered that stuff, its not here yet......and i STILL cant find arctic silver 3 paste for under $12.
its like $5 for the tube and people are trying to charge like $7 to ship it!!!!!!! im gonna have to find a local store that carries it i guess. |

ok so i just built my new one last week
xp 2800 "barton" processor runnin 2.08 80 gig maxtor hd 120 external HD 512 ddr zip floppy 52x cdr/rw hardcano 2 (temps for processor and video card) 5 -60mm fans 19" evision crt (only 150!!!!) and um i think thats it

Right Now? I'm surfing from the production Siebel server in the office. You don't want to know other than it is dual processor (3.2 Ghz Xeon) and 2 gig of RAM (and I have more RAM due in on Tuesday since it would make things run a bit better).
