Yeah, just make sure the engine is as new or newer then your car. Also as long as its a USDM, engine. JDM i'm not that sure.

from what i know the jdm engines don't have the same emissions devices and control as the usdm ones. you might not pass it.

I am guessing that you could buy a stand alone fuel management system and lean out the mixture for emissions testing. Also a good cat and exhaust won't really hurt you. That gas additive that lowers emissions also works well.

No problem, I have a friend with a JDM B16 in his civic and this is what he did when he went for emissions. He passed without a problem. Just make sure you drive the car for a good hour or two before going to get tested just to make sure you blow out any carbon deposits and what not that might have accumulated over time. Good luck with the swap if you decide to do it.

Yeah, there are a few places where you can grab a B16 for under 2 grand. I'll search for the sites again and post em when I find em.

So you are telling me you can get a motor from your stealership for less then that site is selling them for? You wanna grab a motor for me then? The dealership near me wants double that for a new engine.
