Civic EX vs. 2000 Taurus V6....
I was at this stop light....a VW jetta in front of me(in the left lane, and a Taurus with headers, exhaust, a kit, and rims in the right lane. He looks in his mirror at me and throws a rev at me....so i pitch one back at him....so he goes off the line and gets ahead of the Jetta, so i swing into the tarus lane (behind him) and speed up to his rear end, he is flooring it now also (i am hearn his exhaust SCREAMIN) and then i swing back in front of the jetta (and beside the taurus) and floor it, i completely fly past him at 60 mph, and by 70 i'm completely ahead of him....nother win for the civic's

if it was as "loud" as you said, was it a taurus SHO with the V8? and what year do you think it was? pretty sure a taurus of any year any engine would leave the civic behind. first saturns... now taurus's... what town harbors these ricers?

a sohc taures would be left behind even from a deficit, a dohc wouldnt be pulled from behind (because its auto and neone can floor it) i worked for key lincoln mercury and drove both cars (my freinds ex) and the dohc would dominate it, but the sohc would be SMIZOKED.

ok, yea first off i dont think they made a 2K sho model i think they stopped production in 1999, and IF it was a 1999 model i was probably the 6 cylinder because the 2.7L v-8 was designed by yamaha and it runs 14's from the factory and with exhaust can be CAPABLE of mid 14's the motor can also rev up to 11K rpms ive heard without damage (hehe has nothing to do with the subject but just thought id chime in)
i think you raced a older taurus non sho or a new sohc.... you aint gonna pull the 2.7 from behind by any means... regardless of the tune of it.

Let's try for more accuracy: The 3.4L V-8 was designed by Yamaha, and was running mid-15's from the factory, only available with automatic. If you revved that car up to 11,000 rpm, I hope you have good life insurance, because car go boom. BIG boom. |

he's right.... except before 1996 the SHOs came with a Yamaha V6, but who cares - they had almost identical output |

ok i forget teh liter on it, but some have touched 14's stock, some members of sho forums can tell you that all it takes is good track prep, and maybe leaving some excess wait. i was told that it could rev to 11K by a ford master tech as we dissassembled the block in school.

WHAT YEAR CIVIC?
CAUSE If a ae92 corolla gts supercharged or the jbm 20 valve engine vs your civic what year civic? that would be a good race to see.

lol whats under YOUR hood bro? dollars to donuts its just a regular 4a-fe like the rest. Considering the gts supercharged wasnt offered in 1992 and the jDm motor is just that JAPANESE, my statement still stands in 1992 a civic WAS a better starting point for modding a car so i dont know why you bust on him

huh
the geneation of car is called the ae92 corolla has nothing to do with the year. the 4agze z standing for super charged is whats in the mr2 engine which drop directly into the ae92 corolla sedan or gts model. the 4age 20valve engine is a pure japanese engine what stock hps if 160hp with no mods. i expecally like the ae86 corolla gts hatchback rwd. visit club4ag.com

the 4afe engine yeah its in the sedan put the gts coupe has the 4age, the 4age drops right into the sedan. the 4age which was offered in the mr2 and the corolla gts. mr2 offered the supercharged version of the 4age engine which can just drop in the corolla gts ae92 with no fabercations. there a older generation mr2 sc and the new mr2 sc old one only makes 145 and newer generation make 160 165 hps just sc no other mods.
this hs forum has no real techincally talk about engines mods or real down to the grit on any detail techincally talk visit club4ag.com |

I never really understood that saying, cause if you dont die or get in a wreck then arent you still a statistic since you didnt wreck or die, your just on the better side |
