I dont know what I like????
The pic I attached is of 2 Civics. I know they both have body kits, I think its the Black Widow kit.
Anyway, What are the actual like model numbers for these cars. Like DX, CX, SI, EX or whatever the Hondas make. Im still new trying to learn, not too sure what to search for. I DONT want the car for racing, just for looks, and economy. Thanks everyone Joe |

both cars you posted are 5th gens If youre looking for economy, then I suggest you leave it alone and drive completely stock, no stupid heavy kits, giant ass wheels, wings and spoilers that do nothing but add drag, lights that are not only illegal but are crap and will leak like a sunken ship. Did I forget anything? If youre looking for best economy, look into a 5th gen hatchback. Theyre light and get great mpg. A vx if you can find one, would be the best. |

A friend of mine has a cx hatch and with a 1.5L swap (bought with blown motor), he claims he gets upwards of 40-45 mpg, although i don't know how true that is since he's too stupid to do the math with his odometer

Well a model of car I really like is 1992 Civic h/b SI. I really would like to put some sort of body kit on it, just because I really dont like the look of them without the kits. I imagine that with just the gfx it will still be a pretty economical car.
Does that sound about right?? |

Kits, if you havent noticed, arent really that well designed, aeronautically. Youre going to create a lot of wind resistance if you put it on, along with added weight.

What kinda model/series is the red car. The non-Hatchback car.
I know its a 1993 Civic, with a black widow body kit. But what exactly defines the hatchback from the 2 door. Can someone please tell me what kinda car the red 2 door is. Like car style wise. I think it is a 2-door coupe, EX. Is this correct? Thanks. |

*sigh*
bodykits = fgt. period. those oem bumpers are 600$ each NOT painted. and they dont break, and they fit. leave it on and get a lip if ou think it doesnt hang low enough. its cheaper, looks better, more functional, and people arent going to laugh at you. that being said, hatchbacks: cx, vx, some dx, si. (EM or EH) coupes: dx, ex (EJ) sedans: lx (who cares) for the love of god, please dont ruin a perfectly fine 92-95. ive been that route with the kits and shit, please, for me, just get a lip man, just get a lip.

whatever you do PLEASE for the love of our beloved honda's DO NOT get one of those stupid erector set wings!!! There's a kid in my town with a 95 civic and no mods except the wing and it looks like white trash squared. The only reasoning i could ever see to having one of these wings is on a car like a supra (the fast & the furious) or maybe a skyline, but then again those are like 180 mph cars.

I have no intent of making the car all retarded looking with HUGE wings and stupid body kits that scrape on the ground.
I have decided that I like the body style of the 1993 2-door coupe EX the best. So if I buy a 1993 coupe, what type of gfx can i put on it. I dont want it to look stock, but i also dont want to look like im about to leave the runway. Thanks again fellas Joe |

Or do you mean actual parts like lips, spoilers, etc? If you mean the latter check out http://www.jdmshit.com/parts/exterior/index.html good pricing, decent fit, several different things to choose from. |

http://www.andysautosport.com/honda/...2bomexkit.html It looks kinda modest, and minus the wing on the back, I kinda like it. Whatta think? |

you totally contradicted yourself just now
you said you dont want it to look like its going to "leave the runway" and then you post that. You are right...you dont know what you like. (dont take that the wrong way) I cant tell you what to choose. Its your car. Do whatever you like to do...especially because I cant stand anything ricey. Personally, I think that entire car, down to the....well...everyting is crap. The only thing that car is missing to make it a total and complete joke is dual exhaust and a big monster tach on the dash. |

I guess its really too hard to tell right now, what I want. I will just have to wait until I find a car I like. And then hitup local shops to see what they have to offer on my car.
Thanks everyone, Joe |

My D16Z6 Hatch that had severe weight reduction, and I/H/E made a best of 41 MPG, and averaged 38-39 MPG. Averaging speeds of 80-110 MPH (with a D15B tranny) on a 5,000 mile road trip just two weeks after I swapped it in. I did the math with the odometer. Wasnt no guessing here. |

Theres nothing wrong with a tach.
My point was on a car like that you wouldnt need it. I would bet my car on the fact that I doubt that car does any serious driving |

hahhaha. I was only playing man. That and I was checking to see if he thought my setup was "ricey". Truthfully I dont like stock tachs. They are way to inaccurate to be of any use. Of course on a stock car (or riced out car) the tach is serious overkill and like Pdiggs says is definately a waste.

i love that color blue, but the flame sticker/paint kills it :: edit :: as far as modest goes, the car seems to scream to me "look at me! pay attention to me and my big ass wing!" |

how about
you DONT spend money making it look gay and buy an h22, like i should have with all the motors that have been in and out of my car. h22 + 16" low key rims + a small drop + lip = fucking respectable

yeah I went through a debate with myself and friends before i just decide to do the lip, lot less expensive and looks just as good. my friend had a drift kit on his last car and trust me it was nothing but a pain in the ass, well tat was partially cause shit always happened that would rip it off and he insisted that we one peice it to the body...
I've done a good deal of bodywork and kits just cause problems, a lip is nice, modest, and goes on a lot easier. Tengoku that is a beautifully done civic you have there, how much did you pay for the h22 swap? and as far as the tach goes i think it's a nice addition because the car has the balls to back it up |
