im not at all sure what a CXi is. but you can start with getting either an AEM intake - which is costly. or just a K&N drop in filter which will net you just a tiny bit less hp.
Also a catback exhaust setup from Tanabe, GReddy, APEXi, Thermal R&D, Magnaflow, etc etc.... and headers, and you can put some springs on that badboy (or coilovers). what are you going for? performance or looks? for the most part..... any way you can take pics of that engine bay of yours? |

Thanks,
I'm going for looks to start off with, and then probably preformance. Can you tell me a little bit more about the intake systems, you seem to know alot about them. |

In Australia we have different model names for our civic.
The entry level is the Breeze it is a 1.2L ultra standard car but there is not much go in it. There is then the CXi this is a 1.6L with crank windows Power Stearing, and everything else standard (this is the model i own, there is alot of potential with this model) Then there is the GLi it is basically the same as the CXi except it has power windows andmabey a CD player as standard. Then you have the VTi-R's and other Type R's I don't know why they change the names from country to country. it seems stupid to me. |

and for exhausts, i suggest going with something from Tanabe, GReddy, 5Zigen, Magnaflow, Thermal R&D or APEXi. catback systems of course for better performance. are you putting on a bodykit in the near future? or any body parts such as front lip, rear lip? some springs and shocks would be nice to lower your car and its best to do both @ the same time imo. 16" or 17" wheels are also a plus. if yer gonna stick to having no bodykit or just like a front lip/rear lip then id go with 16's, the hatch looks better that way, of course imo. if yer going with a kit that replaces the front and rear bumpers and the side skirts then id go ahead with some 17's - well if its a wild kit. if its not really too wild and aggressive then 16's wouldnt look bad either. im probably confusing the hell out of you right now. sorry. if you need me to clear anything up just lemme know. |

Sorry but i have no idea what the VTi-R's engine's are. I have no doubt that 16' are for me. scurt will come soon, i just have to figure a few things out first (like speed humps, and the front will scape on our driveway) Thanks alot most appreciated. Also just a quick survey; What was the first modification you did to your Honda's? |

Do you have any pics of your car? That might help if you are going for looks first. Helps with ideas since I don't know what a CXi is.....

I agree with Onyx.
---- KONI Struts Eibach Springs ---- Wheels are just a matter of opinion.

i agree with them both......except i say go with the koni coilover setup. i just prefer a good coilover system myself.
or even the APEXi World Sport coilovers, they are in the same price range. |
