drifting...

there's this street near my house that extends about a mile. near the end of it, there is a turn that is about 90º and it's pretty wide. one day, i got bored and had the crazy idea of hitting that turn at 60 mph and pulling my e-brake. as it turned out, that's exactly what i did. i was on the way home from school and when i got to the turn, i did just that.... i went at the curve at 60 mph, stepped on the clutch, turned my wheel, and pulled the e-brake! (i drive a 96 civic hb by the way) as soon as the brake was up, the tail of my car lost traction and i was DRIFTING with the nose of my car poiting towards the regular pathway... it was a real good rush... but the thing was, there were two motor cycle cops coming my way... i was scared that they had seen me, but they didnt!! wahoo! ever since that first experience, ive been illegally drifting at any clear turn i see... shhhhhhhh. and i just got springs installed too! what a dfiference they make too. so smooth and hugs curves like breasts!! hehe. PEACE.

nah, drifting doesnt require only a FR car, although its commonly used. FF can be used too.

Its not the same with a FF because you can't spin the rear tires to slide. You have to ebrake and whatnot, creating the illusion of drifting. That's just my opinion.

yeah a drift isnt about getting sideways and swinging around a corner... its getting the rear tires to not make good contact with the ground and swing the rear end out while controling it with the front, riding as long as possible then swinging it back strait and ride it out. you can drift in a strait line too.

There are two kinds of drifters: those who have crashed and those who will. I've been meaning to practice, but tyres get expensive, ya know?

LOL Max.

anyway if u wanna drift come to cleveland in the winter. don't havetoo try too hard. what i like better than drifting is when you accelerate and brake at the same time, so that the car goes sliding thru the corner. it's fun.

yeah but you gotta use both of your feet. you got to accelerate to lose grip with the front wheels but not that much, and lock the rear wheels to lose grip also
