depends on the weight diff in the F22 and the H22 i would think they'd be close enough that upgraded suspension would take care of that.

someone more enlightened may know the exact weights. thats really the only difference that would affect handling.

thats BS.

in a civic you can tell the difference, but not in an Accord.

hook a brotha up please.

really i don't know if there is too much of a difference between the 2 engines, but the handling problems result from the accord being 250 lbs heavier in the front than in the rear. a sway bar should take care of that, and if u put adjustable shocks on your car even better. you are gonna be able to outperform exotic cars in handling

whoever told you that was wrong.
upgrade the suspension is a must....stiffer spring rates in the front are a great idea. not due to any weight difference, due to a power difference.
in a 91 Accord though.....the weight difference between the F22A and the H22A is fairly noticeable, but not as much as with a civic.

as for the exact weights, im not sure.

ok i don't know if this is right or not but i checked carpoint with the prelude s and the vtec and they came up with a 350 lbs difference. i really don't know how right that is, but i'm sure the h22 isn't that much heavier than the f22

ABS not as heavy duty suspension stuff, non abs axles little stuff like that. and in 94 the frame got more ridged so if you checked a 92 S and a 94 vtec then you'd easly pick up 350 lbs. and ppl who swap out the f22 forma 92 and drop in a h22 dont notice any decrease in handling. and non of the accord ppl on my other boards have any problems with handlig once the h22 is in. its a direct bolt in and you'd just have to worry about wiring the p13 ecu to the car. thats gonna be your biggest problem (if it even is one)

so don't you get the whole harness from the ecu to the engine ? or you are gonna have to custom make one ?

hybrid3doorcx: its not fair to say that whoever told him this is wrong. I don't doubt that his car may have responded poorly to the swap. However, i would agree in that most cases (in an accord) your not going to see much of a diff in handling. Of course thats coming from a guy driving a fith gen and i'm sure the 91 accord is lighter than mine.
but i really doubt that the h22 is 350 lbs heavier than the f22 considering they're both 2.2 liters.
i'm doing the swap too in my 94....i'm so excited i cant wait, but i must.

Where in Portland are you getting it done... or are you doing it yourself?
