HELP ! Urgent !
Help me decide on a car .... they are both used, and lsited are the two options I can choose between:
1. 1997 Prelude, Auto Transmission, $18000, 90000 kms ..... I would love to get this car, but it would kill me on insurance. On the plus side, I probably would spend very little $ on mods for this car.... id probably just change the exhaust, maybe the lights as well .... 2. 1999 Civic SI, Auto, 77000 kms, $15500, and an automatic engine starter .... Not bad either, no spoiler, it is that metallic silver/grey color .... I would like to put a spoiler on there, change the tailights, change the exhaust, change tires and rims ... and a Civic SI wouldnt be as bad as a Prelude on my insurance. F.Y.I. Prices are in Canadian dollars , I wont be doing any engine mods on the Civic if I end up getting it, just exterior appearance mods.... so now its up to you all .... list your thoughts, it might be some I didnt think of .... I would like to decide pretty soon. Thanks ! |

That Canadian Si is a US EX if I'm correct. If this is true, I would take the prelude for sure.

I almost forgot about that... the canadian SI is our EX, they call thier SI's SI-R's I THINK.... in that case the lude, is going be a much faster car, i forgot what Hp 97 ludes put out but the Si is only doing like 127, WHICH isn't BAD ... but the lude will be a lot higher.... Personaly I think I would still take the SI... it's very reliable with less miles, it's great on gas, and cosmeticaly it's a beautiful car. With some rims and exhaust, it would look great. But you also have to reliaze that Civics are a lot more Common.
But if this is your first car, i would say DEFINATLY get the civic. If this isn't your first, I'd say it could go either way, the prelude would be faster, and less common,
