Lug nut free spinning on wheel stud.. what to do?
This is for my friends Eclipse. We started taking off his wheels last night. Well heres the story. He bought his eclipse with wheels on it and they had special keys for them and the kid who had ti before didnt give the dealer any keys so he couldn't take off the wheels. Well we found out we could get an allenwrench on them since they are open ended and we got them all off but one on the right drivers side. We cranked on it and it popped and then would just keep spinning instead of coming off. Anyone know what to do in this situation??

Just cut the back side of the stud off w/ a grinder and replace it.

try hitting the tire outwards so the lug will stick a little then get a drill and drill progresively larger holes in the stud untill the stud breaks off below the nut. That is if you dont have a torch.

he may want to consider that his wheel stuf is already hosed. My suggestion would be get out your dremel and cut directly across it. if you do it on the front of your lug, it shouldn't hurt your wheel unless you slip. then you should be able to pry it off it two parts.
