Best springs & shocks combo

I've heard good things about throwing Eibach springs and koni yellows on, so that's what I'm aiming for right now. Is there any other combo that is better that won't put too much of a hole in my walet?

That is a great combo, but you'll spend almost as much as the cheaper true coilovers. Are you going for all out performance, or comfort?

I'm trying to find the exact middle...i'im thinking that setup is a little more on the performance side, but oh well....what do u think?

Well, since you said you didn't want to spend too much, that sounds like the way to go. Do you definitely want the damping adjustability?

Are you looking at the pro-kit or the sportlines?

I advise you to go with the Pro-Kit unless you want to have to buy a camber kit to go with it. On my 97 Civic I run the Teg Pro-Kits with Koni Yellows and they work awesome. It is quite firm yet still comfortable. I love it.

I just got done putting on Neuspeed sport springs and Koni Yellows. I love it. Handels great without losing comfort. Eibachs are really popular among domestics. If import, go with Neuspeed. You can get them fairly cheap on ebay.

fadenight, how is your camber? Are you using a camber kit?

I just did prokits and AGX. They're not Konis (from what I hear), but I like the ride, they're adjustable and cheaper than yellows.

they are KYB. i wish i would have the time to install them, but for now they are staying in my room

The drop height is about .5" different. The rates are the same.

Good then. Well today i found out that something with my suspension is fawked up, so I'll be getting my springs/shocks a lot sooner than i thought i would. And yeah the pro-kit's 1.3" drops enough for me.

I just started the search, and this is what I found:

$243 for the Eiback prokits
$510 for the Koni yellows
$285 shipped for the Koni reds

With a 1.3" drop, will the reds still give me a comfortable ride anyone??? I wanna know why there's a $225 price difference!

I think you can get the pro-kits for just under $200 if you shop around! Try GBC and some other places. Also, the $510 yellows might not be adjustable externally in the rear, you have to pay a little extra for that ($550 @ shox.com) The yellows will give you adjustability for more performance, but the reds will be more than adequate.

If you're under a tight budget go get the Pro-Kit/AGX combo from coximport.com (Thats where I bought mine and theyre awesome! ) They are an awesome combination.

I ended up getting Koni Yellows because a friend of mine was selling his cheap. I really liked the Pro-kit/Koni combo BUT for a little amount you can get a true coilover system whoch I now have. I just installed my coilovers yesterday so I am still feeling it. Oh one thing I noticed about the Pro-kit/AGX combo was that the drop was higher than my pro-kit/Koni yellow combo (middle perch setting). Another plus about getting either the AGX or Konis is that you won't need cambers!

Can I get away w/ just installing the Pro-kit or Sportline kit?

You will be fine with Pro-Kit on stock shocks for a while if the shocks are in good shape. If they are, they will still blow after an amount of time. How long they will last depends.

May I please have some opinions on the Skunk2 coilover kits. Also, when is a camber kit necessary.

I'd like to lower my car but my friend suggested that I don't because over time the alignment gets messed up along with other parts of the suspension.

Can someone tell me if there are a lot of cases where the suspension gets messed up after lowering a vehicle.
