Engine Gsr, Type R... What's The Difference?
i read on line somewhere that they were selling products for a GSR motor and a TYPE R motor, but I thought they were the same thing? What's the difference?

b18c5/b18c1.... typer/gsr...
one is rated to 210 hp, and the other a mere 180. Basically the same thing, the type R has more agressive timing as well as a higher CR (not to mention better internals.) GSR is .. just.. yea.

B18c5 is more race oriented
B18c1 is is the next step down from type R- still reasonable for street the Type R has a higher compression I THINK. and a good bit better internals |

I don't see how you two guys think that the C1 isn't a good engine. For the time of the engineering, they were the highest size to HP ratio in the biz, other than the race prepped F! and F4 cars, which aren't even for the street. 180 from a 1.8 isn't anything to mention as a "mere" number. Granted, the Type R is a badass engine, but to totally blow off the GSR like that isn't fair. The Type R also came from H with a LSD, and did not come with A/C on the motor, being bred for the track.
