One more LCD question

Ok...so I started a thread a while back before buying an LCD monitor. My old one was about to crap out so, much like when dealing with cars, I decided to replace the bad part with a better one. I bought one (not a brand name, but no dead pixels, great clarity, and a good price) but was a little concerned when I started my computer back up after the install. It seemed like it took forever to load everything but once it did it ran fine. Can a monitor mess with your system like that...or is it just coincidence?

well, probably it was a coincidence, but SOMEtimes I've seen winxp machines try to detect the monitor and install a specific driver for it. its not necessary, but if it does it its not a big deal. might be better for an LCD screen especially.

if it only happend once, you're fine.
