this could EASILY happen, depends WHAT YEAR THE CAMARO IS, if its a 1981 then my jeep could beat it stock to stock. let alone the fact that if it was a late 80's early 90's its street racing and anything could happen, but if it was later than that i think it was probably a "fly by win"
i saw a mustang 5.0 at englishtown on saturday running on a 18.50 dial lol anything is possible (keep in mind this person wasnt going for it though for bracket purposes).

That's funny I beat a 88 or so mustang 5.0 in my 1.6 liter sentra. It had cams and a couple other things it was pretty fast. I only had him till 3rd gear... it was funny though his buddy (passenger) was laughing his ass of so were we (me and my buddy). some of those cars just run like crap you put 10 years on a car with no or low maintanence and a ferrari would run like shit and get roasted by a well tuned civic. |

i hope you mean your SENTRA had cam(s)..... its true though some 5.0's time has caught up with, but keep in mind with modern maintenance ive personally service those motors with 300+ k on it oh, and just for comparison's sake i did see some 5.0's at englishtown doing high 15's to mid 16's modded, driver plays a factor more than tune does..

Ya my car had the cams...
and I know my buddy from one of the stations had a built 351W in his 5.0 chassis and that thing would peel the skin off your face when he hit it. Another friend has a convertable that is supposed to be REDICULOUS but I have not seen him since I graduated School High... ughh I mean.. H.S. And ya one of the shops I worked at had a guy who had 3 mustang customers with 250k or more on there original motor no rebuild.. there was another guy who ran a limo company who had 800k chassis miles... 600k tranny (well the first one went at 600k) and 400k engine with the car still running strong. And as far as driver goes... another kid went to English Town with my buddy with the 351 and ran mid to high 17's all day till my buddy drove his car and ran a low 16. (the owner weighed a good 60-100 lbs less than the kid who drove it faster.)
