Finally 2 decent runs

Well I have stopped driving as much lately to keep the miles down on my car, and have thus stopped racing as much. In fact, its been over a month since Ive had anything real exciting. First was when I was on my way home from the store, and an early 90s Nissan Pathfinder flies past me right when the light that I have been waiting at turns green. At the next light he starts revving all to hell and im just laughing to myself... I feather the throttle off the line (just for fun) then floored it to leave him 20+ cars back by 80mph... not really a race, just a good time...

Second race today was a lot more fun. I hoped on the interstate to make a run to Lowes to get a leaf vac when a 96ish Mustang GT pulls up beside me going about 70 and gives a gentle rev... he then takes off and I am still going 70... I see aftermarket exhaust and hugeass rear tires... anyways he falls back to my door and we both hit it at 70mph... he gets a slight jump (I hate my auto tranny) but then we are even at about 110 when my speed limiter hit... fun race, thats the best job a 4.6 has ever done against me...

Incidentally both these cars were dark green, like mine... seemed a bit weird at the time(s)

LOFL i HATE SN95 + mustangs ive seen them do 15.2 with 5spd boltons and slicks and skinnies, GOOD KILLS, teach those sn 95's that there subpar!

BTW i hope to god it wasnt in the HIGHLANDER you say because imma have a hard time believing even a heavy v8 in motion at 70! will lose to a 17+ second truck :o

Oh no, it was in the highlander... and its not a 17+ truck... I ran 16.2 with it in the summer... yeah I know thats slow dont patronize me, but its much better than stock. For some reason though, and I have posted about it on here numerous times, I can beat low 15second cars on the street... dunno why, but I can... anyways Ive got some mods on the highlander and it is the v6 awd model... so yeah Ive actually run with quite a few nice cars, but am still wondering how

wait a second.... now imma sound stupid since this is YOUR kill but DOOD that 5.9 is a 15 second awd truck dood it traps at 90mph EVEN so how would you come behind from a deficit, ive raced a 5.9 in my old black gt and had TROUBLE catching up.

Truth be told, I have no idea how I catch him, but I do... aerodynamics perhaps, whatever... when I get back in town I will see if he wants to run, and maybe I can put a video together... another factor is that he might be running a bit slower than 15flat 90 trap because his truck is quite a few years older than mine, hence mechanical wear, lost compression, etc... lemme know if anyone would be interested in a video... not promising it will happen because hes not a close friend, kinda a fringe friend, but hes always up for a good race
