get a bigger altenator....but if the car shuts off....you might have a loos terminal on the battery......depending on how much power you are pulling will determine what you need to do...either a bigger alt or cap.....cap wont make much a difference just might help a little

Buy a capacitor. Depending on how many watts your pushing you may want a 1 farad cap or 2 farad cap. I pushing a little more than 1200 watt and i have a 1 farad cap. Battery doesnt drain, but my lights still dim when the base hits so i may need to upgrade.

If your car dies when playing the stereo loud. I would highly recomend you get your electrical system looked at. You would have to be drawing ALOT of current to do that. My guess is maybe you have a alternator on it's way out or a battery. Either way load testing will tell you if this is the case.

Or are you refering to the the car still runs, but the whole stereo shuts down?

Just found out it was my alternator was bad, I replaced it yesterday and now everything seems to be fine. I thought it was weird that my battery gets drained, cuz im only pushing 200 watts. thanks for the help.

caps ARE NOT a good alternative to a higher amp alt or a 2nd isolated battery.....they only conserve power for a short time.....and if the cap draws 14volts outta the battery then the cap itself can drain the battery or damage the alt......so if you do decide to get a cap dont think its gonna save anything....but 200 watts shouldnt hurt a stock alt too much....
