custom turbo help

getting a TD04H Greddy turbo looking for ideas on putting together the rest of a kit. Going to muffler shop to have piping bent and looking for ideas on intercoolers and other misc. items, looking for decent priced BOV. Any ideas are appreciated.

Why would he need a manifold that is external WG ready?

So he can put on an external wastegate on. Its best for boost control.

I would go with the HKS super sequential (SS) or greddy type S.. How much boost do you plan to run? You will probly want to uprgrade your fuel pump, and fpr.. you gonna run with an IC??

Yeah but the external is better quality, less boost spikes and better boost control.

your right about this but i think he said that he is putting together a td04 turbo meaning that it already has an internal wastergate which means that you cant get an external waste gate. Although im pretty sure there is some way that it can be done.

looking to run approx. 7 psi daily and be able to go possible 16 @ track, intercooler is a definate, going to upgrade fuel with possibly inline setup w/FMU, ignition upgrades will come too. The block is AEM hyper 2 w/JE 9.0:1 pistons and nuformz block guard.
Apex-i 4 puck clutch, will look into trans. work.

for a BOV I recommend the HKS SSQV, its sounds the best and doesn't leak like some of the others on the market, the waste-gate will not matter if you have a good boost controller and mangement system. For fuel I suggest you go with the new HKS AFR or the Apexi S-AFC, both are very good...for better spark go with the msd sci ignition and plug and wires...good luck

looking into manifolds.. have access to the Greddy, a DC Sports or HKS any opinion on which... kind of leaning towards HKS, going HKS SS BOV and HKS external wastegate, found some Mitsu Starion intercoolers.

both the greddy and hks are very good, you might lean towards the hks to keep with your theme...good choices on the wastegate and BOV...as for the intercooler the starion is a cheap solution...HKS also makes intercoolers as to your specifications and so does spearco, you might want to check them out...good luck

I really appreciate all the input....I like the Apex-i intercoolers but I'll have to take that as $$ allows. thanks for the help thus far.

I have the HKS SSQV and the Tial 35mm .45 bar wastegate and though I do not have them on the car yet I highly recommend them!

for fuel delivery. I recommend the vortech Super FMU...you will need a fuel pump..try the Walbro. And you will need some kind of fuel cut defender. They are everywhere. Atleast gs/rs eclipses do when turboed. not real sure on hondas...
