Anti-Ricer
Ok there's this punk (trust me, this guy is a punk, thinks he's all hype and that, eminem wannabe )
Anyways, he doesn't have alot of money (dumbass) so he's getting a 1980's VW Diesel Rabbit (Dear lord not that BEAST ) Putting in a GTI Engine that he got from a scrapyard for $500 can, and wants to add a CAI (basically use NA products (I say if available lol)). And he thinks he'll be all that! And thinks he knows alot about cars (I know more than him, and I don't know much, learnin here). So as a joke my friend says, "Yah, you'll be smokin everyone, ON INSURANCE" another friend adds "and on GAS PRICES" Oh lord, can't wait to get my Si and show this kid a thing or two! Do you have people like that near you? |

If it at least was a decent car. I even have more respect for a car with decals and nothing done. Seriously. |

It's Diesel Rabbit.
If he's paying that kind of money. Why doesn't he just buy an old Civic or something. It'll still be better IMO. The car he's making is shit. SHIT SHIT! |

Easy there. You already said he lacks in the mental department. That explains it. Maybe you ought to coax him into a Civic.

LoL sorry about that. It didn't mean to come out the way it seems in the post. You mean introduce him to a Civic? Ummm...I think he'd try to be a smart-ass and say his Rabbit will take one any day!

GTI's are cool, but VW rabbits were rated as like the #7 chick car! Help to educate him! When someone is being ignorant, I try to learn them a few things based on the info I've gleaned over the years.

The problem is this guy is an asshole. He the person who'll backstab you. He talks shit about you behind your back, even if you are "friends" with him. He deserves to get laughed the hell out of. And I'll tape it too. Maybe post it if he is able to get it running!

Bwahaha... I cant wait to see him whip your SI, thatd be funny as hell.. Im giving this kid some props, and AZN explained it. Granted the Rabbits arent race cars.. But if you swap in the right GTI motor you are in low 14s stock without any mods. I pondered doing this too. VW motors are even easier to swap then Honda motors are. Almost all smaller VW motor practically bolt right into any VW car. So you better watch what you ask for. Cause one day you could get your doors blown off by a Rabbit.

Ok you still need to run in a little bit of style.
This guy doesn't have the money to properly mod the car. All he's doing is swappin the engine and adding a few parts. If you are really serious you need to restore the car first. Fix all the broken parts etc. I don't have an Si yet....in summer I will though But that's a stock Si your talkin about him taking. I'm gonna mod mine. Maybe not something exactly super, but some mods. Like 1-2g's in the first couple of months. Even if he'll beat me by a bit or stay with me, I don't care, that car is shit. It looks shit, and handles shit. |

it may be ugly to some... i think they are nice when done up right... but they can rape a$$e$ like you dont believe... i'll try to upload pics of some of the racers here... like the rabbit that does 11's... very nice car and would rape si's like warm butter.....
im not trying to bust your chops here.. but dumping 1-2g's on the car wont get you that much.... maybe barely getting you intake, headers and exhaust.. but all depends what you get... the exhaust kit alone would nearly run you 1000 depending on what you chose.. and the car can also handle like rails if the suspension is reworked... |

well the guy can hardly put 1-2g's into his rabbit. that's what he'll probably use in total.
you see you need to spend quite a bit of money to make it look good and fast |
