alarm install question
I am installing a new alarm and I don't want to put a instant ground pin switch in my trunk. There is a light that turns on when the trunk lid is opened even when the key is out. I figured it is using an instant ground switch somewhere. Is it possible to splice in to the light wire with out messing up the alarm?

I don't understand, are u saying it should be ok to splice in to the light wire. I want to make sure that the 12v feed to the light is not going to interfere with the alarm. also I am not sure if the wire colors are the same, this alarm is going in my wifes car, not my civic.
thanks for your reply, and putting this post in the right forum |

make sure you test it first, it says it's positive, it will read 12v when the door is open and 0v when closed
