Things like that shouldn't happen to cars like that! It's a shame, and I do feel kind of bad for the guy.

Yea, you were close Paul... it's still an //M, but it's actually an E36 M3 sedan, not an M5 (M5 is the larger 4-door with the V8 in it). The car held together very well, and the engine could probably be salvaged as well. But yea, he walked away from the crash and that's the important thing. Hopefully insurance will pick up the bill for it too.

that happened about 2 months ago at gingerman raceway in michigan, IIRC it got covered under insurance because it was a driving school(advanced vehicle control). the car absorbed the roll, who gives a shit if it's destroyed, Notice the driver WALKED AWAY. i had a couple freinds there the day it happened.

in the world of racing it's bound to happen to you at least once, that's why i am looking for a beater to build so that if and when i DO roll it i won't be soo pissed at myself

I want to be a road racer, my pocket book just can't currently afford it.

Life of course....but apparently he didn't really consider that before he got behind the wheel of his car that time. He's lucky.
