learnin' the ropes at current

Here's the deal... I hardly know anything about cars, let alone hondas.

that said, I recently bought a 95 prelude Special Edition...

I have been looking around at intakes/exhaust/bodykits etc etc etc....

long and short, I am likely to make this more of a show car than a racer, but hey, I dont want it to run like my grandpa is driving it either (read mini-van driver)

so, for what little I know about cars, and what my friends who are into the scene a helluva lot more than me, tell me... heres what I got..

95 prelude Special Edition (4th Gen)
H23A1 engine 2.3L

I dont know if this is "good" bad or indifferent.. one of my friends (TonitrusEN) says I should have gotten an H22A, but I got what was available to me at the time which fit within my budget.

Any thoughts about good body kits etc that could go on this thing? Mods that will improve performance? I am not able to "put it on a rack for 5 days" to be able to do mods etc as my commute to work is 75miles each way a day. One of the bigger reasons I bought it was fuel economy, and I have to say from getting out of a 96 chev blazer s10 that I have already been HUGELY happy with that choice ($18 to fill as opposed to 26, and 420miles as opposed to 280).

I just finished with the stereo system, something that is important when you are in your car 3-4 hours a day, will post photos sometime in the near future... but now I am thinking about what to do to the exterior and engine.

Anyone have stock run times for 1/4?

Im guessing the stereo system has added about 300lbs or so... but I never weighed before/after.. just that its fully dynamatted now and had a custom box put into the trunk wheel well.

Welcome to HS!

Best way to start gathering general knowledge is to look through the forums and to use the search function. Don't hesitate to ask questions if you can't find specific answers though.

Welcome to HS! and please post pics of your trunk install. I've been thinking about doing this and am curious to see how different installs look...

whats up man, a SE prelude is the same as a VTEC prelude but with the h23 engine. you have full leather (doors steeringwheel seats) and special rims. you should run about 15.7 stock and i know of a few SI's running low 15's with intake headers and exaust. as far as body kits, i love my wings west lip, its urathane so it wont crack or anything. you can see a picture in my signiture of the front lip. for performance mods, i'd get a AEM cold air intake, and a nice toned exaust. like a Apex'i WS or if you can find a RS*R that would be even better. BTW did u get the champange or pewter looking color?

The Green is VERY rare. Out of the 10 or so SE's I've seen, I can only remember 2 being green.
